Week 23 – Power The World (with your love)

There are 1.3 billion people in the world who still live in “darkness” with zero access to electricity. Since electricity is one of the essential element of daily living, I couldn’t imagine what life would be like without power supply.

I know there are so many other people out there who need help, also there are countless of issues which need to be concerned about. So, we may think, it looks like things won’t change much no matter what we do for them, because we think what we can really do is so little. However, those are hard works, and it takes a lot of time and effort, in order to change for the better. If we, everyone of us, raise awareness of the need for helping others, the world will have hope, and the world will change.

Here is the story of Imani:

If you would like to support “Power The World”, you can help by visiting their official website and signing a pledge to help one million families gain access to sustainable energy. Here is the link:

No matter how small the amount is, little a little, the world will be illuminated again with your love and compassion. πŸ˜€

    • Yea, nowadays, many of us are easy to forget everything about gratitude, love and kindness, and always take things for granted@.@ I wish the love and kindness within us will grow and grow stronger each day to make the world a better place. πŸ˜€

  7. It can be very easy to take things like power for granted, but we use it for SO many things… when it goes away (even for a little while) I am always very quickly reminded of all the things we use it for / need it to do…

  9. I suffered through a 13-hour power outage a couple of weeks ago. It hit only my condominium complex. Everyone around our block had power. It made us feel so inadequate.

  10. It took a while to notice the face on it. A power outage is bad enough. Couldn’t imagine life without electricity, especially now that we rely on the internet for so much.

  11. That is an idea that I really can stand by… Esp considering the poor state of Electricity in my country and the constant power cuts… I can imagine how worse it would be for people with no electricity to speak of…

  12. Sometimes I ask myself, ” why is not life fair?” Why do a lot of people live “barely” while others excessive?” I admire your deep concern for others who are deprived. We need more heart out there that’s willing to give. Thanks. Hope you can join image challenge. I think people would truly be touched by your thoughts.
