Week 12 – Kuan Yin Thong Hood Cho Temple

Kuan Yin Thong Hood Cho Temple is dedicated to the the bodhisattva of compassion, Kuan Yin (or Avalokitesvara), in Chinese Buddhism. It is believed to bring worshipers good luck after praying to the Kuan Yin. There are flowers and joysticks you can purchase in front of the entrance for making offerings. Joysticks are not allowed to bring inside the hall, as well as photography is prohibited.

The temple is located at 178 Waterloo Street, Singapore. Only five to seven minutes of walk from Bugis MRT station. You will find the location of the temple quite interesting as there is a Sri Krishnan Hindu Temple is located a few steps away from the Kuan Yin Temple.
